When he's old enough, Jenson will be going out and about to meet new people, make new doggie friends and to have new experiences. There maybe something that you would enjoy joining us for so please have a look and contact us if there's anything you fancy coming along to.
Rode Hall Farmers Market
This is a great event. The first Sunday of the month is the Rode Hall Farmers Market. There are lots of stalls including food, wine, beer, crafts, unique ingredients and exciting new flavours.
There's usually life music as well as hot food and drinks. It's a great event at a great venue and when Jenson is old enough to be trusted around that much food we will be taking him there to meet other families.
The grounds of the hall are fantastic for walking dogs and there are plenty of fields and paths to walk along.
The Salt Line & Canal Walk
This is a 1 to 10 mile walk or further depending on how old Jenson is and thus how long he is allowed to walk. The Salt Line is just behind our house and was once a rail line from Kidsgrove to Sandbach.
The Canal runs the full route and further and is scattered with some lovely real ales pubs along the way. The Broughton Arms was mentioned to us by Uncle Rod so we went to see what it was like...set right on the water and serving pints at £2.70 it's a winner!
The Salt Line is great for Jenson as it's safe for him to run about off the lead for the most part. He will be able to meet and make many friends on this route and play along the way.
Bathpool Park
This is a fantastic place to meet other dogs and walk around the games pitch, past the ski slope, round the pool and down through the fields. There's a great spot here for gundog training and where we can allow Jenson to play with other dogs.
